MrBeast’s Team Seas Collaboration

Parker Holthus, Reporter

Jimmy Donaldson, known as Mr. Beast created Team Seas, a global campaign to remove 30 million pounds of garbage from the ocean in October of 2021 by having team seas build a machine to collect pieces of trash that come into shore.

Mr. Beast felt the need to clean up after social pedestrians because of their behavior. Mr. Beast is doing something for the environment to help his community.

It is very important to keep the earth clean. Many things can result in littering such as danger to public health, the risk of fire hazards, endangering, or even killing wildlife, and serious damage to waterways. Littering is an unnecessary thing that humans do that can be very bad for the earth.

The Team Seas machine was a mechanical device made to pull in the garbage and put it into a stack of garbage bags that they used to prove that they cooperated in the Team Seas project. The garbage bags are the way that the Team Seas workers can determine how much garbage they have received from the ocean.

The #Team Seas fundraising campaign kicked off on October 29th, 2021, and reached the goal of 30 million pounds of trash removal, funded by January 2nd, 2021. Half of the funds will go to The Ocean Cleanup, helping us deploy and operate Interceptors, collecting one pound of trash for every dollar donated.

People have been grateful to Mr. Beast as we accomplished the goal of 30 million pounds removed from the ocean because of the donations. This will help our ecosystem by removing garbage from the ocean to help save the earth.
