Arizona. From the endless deserts and blazing hot temperatures, it’s a pretty good state. Although it’s one of the hottest states in the U.S, other parts of it are actually very nice in temperature and other aspects. I’m from there so I’m going to tell you all about it.

First, the part where I’m from: Phoenix, Arizona. A very nice and lively place with many shops and restaurants and overall, a lot to do. First there’s Desert Ridge. Desert Ridge is a big outdoor mall with many shops and restaurants and is a great place to walk around.

There’s also a lot of housing around and good education with a lot of good schools such as Sunrise middle school, Desert Shadows middle school, and Explorer middle school. As well as many great high schools such as Shadow Mountain, Horizon, and PV. They all have great educational programs such as PV’s Crest program or Sunrise’s Quest program. These offer extra or sometimes more advanced learning opportunities. The people are also very nice and understanding, at the schools and just the public in general.

Although Phoenix has temperatures that can rise to 115 degrees fahrenheit during the summer. Most houses are equipped with a pool. And temperatures get to 80 degrees fahrenheit during the winter, there are other places up north such as Flagstaff. Flagstaff is much cooler and has a lot more nature that isn’t desert. Flagstaff has many woods and forests and snows as early as October, making it a great spot to visit for skiing and other winter sports or activities. I’ve only been there a couple times, but I hear the schools are great and there’s this one college that everyone talks about there called Embry-Riddle. It’s an aeronautical university, meaning it specializes in planes and aviation but also has amazing engineering and finance programs. 

So overall, in my opinion, Arizona is a great state and definitely a great place to live. Summer isn’t so bad either because you can stay inside or use a pool which most houses come with! If you get an opportunity to visit, I really recommend you take it because it’s a great place to even visit or check out.
