First, there is no doubt that Taylor Swift being present at the Chiefs football games has caused more people to watch the game, research shows that there was an increase of an insane 53%. The young Swifties and fans are watching the game, potentially causing a new generation of NFL fans to be hooked by Taylor Swift. Further, this growth in viewership caused the NFL to gain 20%  more sponsors in 2023-2024.

Now let’s hear about the downsides to Taylor Swift being so popular in the NFL. Taylor Swift, dating Travis Kelce, should have anticipated how much she would be on television as the NFL games are all live and recorded for anyone to view. This caused their relationship to become very public. Also, some football fans are considering the Taylor Swift fanbase to be “jarring” to their experience.
