Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts+Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is an open world RPG with a story line. It’s probably the best game I’ve ever played. From the graphics, to the story line, to the characters, to the spells, it’s all perfect! I just want to talk about it and hopefully get someone else to make a great purchase by getting this game.

You first start in a menu where you can customize your character, like it being a boy or girl, having different hair colors, different pitches of voice, all the way up to customizing scars on your face. Then you pick your name and house. There are 4 houses, them being Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Gryffindor represents courage, Slytherin represents ambition and power, Hufflepuff represents loyalty, and Ravenclaw represents intelligence.

You first get on a flying carriage with your mentor and while on the way, a dragon attacks you which is not normal for a tamed dragon. Luckily you and your mentor, Professor Fig, use a portkey to teleport to a random place and save yourselves. You travel through a bunch of portals and find out you can use an ancient magic that no one has possessed for centuries. After fighting many statues, you encounter the main villain of the story, a goblin named Ranrok. He attacks you but luckily you and Professor Fig escape and make it to Hogwarts safely where your house is chosen by being asked a question from the house sorting hat.

Then you go on to learn many spells, make friends with characters, and fight many powerful enemies. Quick tip, be better friends with Sebastian than Natty. He teaches you very powerful spells called “Unforgivable Curses”. Although they are frowned upon in society, these will come in handy.

What I love about this game so much is the story line and graphics. If you take an extra 10GB, you can install a graphics mod that makes your game play magical. And the story line is perfect too, you going on to harness the power of your ancient magic and choosing your path as a dark magician or wizard. You can also make multiple characters on one account and each play through of the entire story line takes about 14-15 hours on average. A detail I love about this game is at the end of the story line, you talk to Professor Fig and based on what you respond with to his questions, you can do the good, evil, or secret ending. I won’t spoil the endings but I suggest trying them out. I love this game so much I have 4 different play throughs, all for different houses (you learn unforgivable curses quicker in Slytherin) and I never get bored of the game.

You can purchase the game on Steam, Xbox 1, Xbox Series S and X, Playstation 4, Playstation 4 pro, Playstation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The game is $40-$70 but it’s $80 if you buy the deluxe version which gives you cool clothes (not worth it). So if you want to have a game to waste a bunch of time on, I suggest buying this game.
