Playboi Carti is finally dropping. Jordan Carter(Playboi Carti)’s long awaited album “MUSIC’ ‘ or “I AM THE MUSIC’ ‘ stylized in all caps is not only rumored but also confirmed by Carti himself that he is dropping the album in 2024. But when though?

Its been four years since his last project and Playboi Carti is a notorious liar especially when it comes to music dropping. Regarding “MUSIC” Carti said he would drop in January after the start of his now canceled Antagonist Tour with him and the rest of his record label. Now three months later his fans can confirm he did not release his album. Playboi Carti has however dropped a handful of new music that will probably be on his new album such as “2024” with 41 million streams  and “BACKR00MS” with around 25 million views. Many people believed that this was the start of the long awaited album rollout but like always they were wrong. Along with the new songs being released by Playboi Carti himself, he has been on a generational feature run being featured on popular songs “Carnival” “Fein” and “Popular” which all have millions of streams across all platforms. 

Many fans believe Carti is doing all of these new features to generate hype for his album, along with the features some believe that the six singles Carti has now dropped are only to generate hype and that the actual album will contain new songs or unreleased leaks like 16*19 or (extremely unlikely) 24 songs featuring Vory. Sample clearances are probably the main thing keeping Carti from dropping the album but honestly he could probably drop whenever. Everyone is expecting Music to be a great album from Playboi Carti, and a Summer release would be just perfect for Carti, considering most popular artists such as Travis Scott, Tyler the Creator, Future/Metro and Lil Tecca will not be dropping new music this year or at least not until the end of the year. Meaning that this summer we might finally get to listen to “I AM MUSIC”
