The Sundevil Scoop Getting Less Popular

Lauryn Casey, Author

If you are reading this right now, you have heard of the Sundevil Scoop. This article is on that website right now. But what if you lost your Chromebook? Or you have never even heard of the website in the first place? Well, most people haven’t. If you don’t take Journalism then you probably don’t know this exists. Would people read articles that students spend time on more if it was on paper too? During homeroom you are not allowed to be on your computers and in most other classes during the school day you don’t have free time to just read on your computers. But if the Scoop was on paper, then you could read it in homeroom and class when you are done with work. Would you believe me if I told you that there was a paper version?

Why was this taken away? The reason is that the year after these paper copies came out kids started to fight with them. They used them as swords and those few kids ruined it for all kids. But can people get this privilege back? Well, that is not up to me. But if they did bring them back I think that they could get handed out at morning meetings every other week. You could even bring it home so that your relatives could get a copy too. What do you think? Do you think that if the school brings back paper copies kids will read them or misuse them?

If the school thinks that kids do not deserve another chance with these copies then what other way could kids read the Sundevil Scoop? Well, I think that during homeroom you should be allowed to read on your Chromebook but I understand that many kids would just play games. Although kids play games on their Chromebooks some kids do use them to work on school work or read. This is why I think the Sunsedevil Scoop should be online and in a paper newspaper.
