At McAuliffe we have a love for sports. Soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, cross country, and many more. But no one talks about what is the best, so what is everyone’s favorite? The most liked sport overall, at McAuliffe is soccer. After interviewing lots of people, the ones who loved soccer said the reason is because they play the sport or they have friends that do. A close favorite was basketball, for the reason of good competition, and amazing school spirit.
The boys soccer season starts in early fall, and the girls season starts in very early spring. The boys made it through the whole season… and then lost in the championship game, 5-0 against Slavens. The girls season is still going, their record is 4-0, with the McAuliffe school spirit leading them to victory every game!
The sport that was least talked about was ultimate frisbee, even though it is a really fun sport. People said it’s just not popular and they would rather watch something popular. Overall, every sport at McAuliffe is exciting, some are just more favored than others.
