Pickleball; All You Need to Know About the Rules and Strategy

Pickleball. all of it.
Pickleball; All You Need to Know About the Rules and Strategy

Pickleball is a sport like tennis but with a court that is much smaller, you will use solid rackets and a ball that looks like a wiffle ball, it can be played by groups of 2 and 4 there is a kitchen (not like the one in you house) and a court that is split into 2 sides.

The start: there is a server and a returner at the start the server will hit the ball to the opposite quart and then the returner will hit it back to the server or the servers partner.

Rating system:There is a rating system on a scale from 0-5, 0 is what you are if you have literally never played before, 1 is when you have played some and can hit a few shots, 2 is when you can hit most easy shots and aren’t hitting the net super often, 3 is when you can return almost all shots and barely hit the net it is also when you start trying out some new strategies this also might be when you start doing tournaments, 4 is when you are hitting pretty much every ball and barely ever  hitting the net you also will probably win a few tournaments, 5 I the best of the best and you can go pro and actually make a significant amount of money off of pickleball tournaments.

Tips for each level: As a newbie/0 it is a good idea to just find good friends and practice getting hits on the ball, and trying to be able to consistently get the ball over the net. As a beginner/1 it will be good to just get some time on the court and hit the ball around with friends and Indore the rules for now just try to get even more touches on the ball and try to actually get some good shots that might win a point. As a better beginner/2 you should learn the rules and how to keep track of the score, you should start trying some harder shots and serves. As a intermediate player/3 you should know all of the rules and be able to hit almost all of the balls sent at you so I recommend trying out some tournaments and playing publicly. As an intermediate pro/4 I recommend trying more tournaments and you might win some, and i recommend trying to go out and find other people to meet up with to play non competitively. as a pro/5 you can try national tournaments and and try to go pro, once again I recommend trying to go out and find other people to meet up with to play non competitively.

ThE RULES:, serving: first there is a rule that the right server serves first to the player on the opposite side of the court, the ball needs to lans inside that persons rectangle. You cannot throw the ball up on your serve or put any spin on the ball with your hand, also the serve cannot go into the kitchen or it does not count, and even the kitchen line is out. The double bounce rule: the person being served to needs to lett the ball bounce and once they hit it the server and their teammate needs to let it bounce from there you can volley all balls besides if you break the kitchen rules. the kitchen rules: for seven feet on either side of the net there Is a kitchen, if you want to volley the ball you can’t have your foot in the kitchen or step into the kitchen in the same movement,  for  you to step in there the ball needs to first bounce in the kitchen and then you can step into it. Lines: if the ball goes outside the lines it is out. Net: if it hits the net it is counted as out. Scoring: (if you win a point you switch sides with your partner) the game starts with the first server saying 0,0,2 this means they have 0 points the other team has 0 points and this is their second server. say they win that point then they say 1,0,2 meaning they have one point the other team has 0 points and it is their second server. say they lose that point then the other team says 0,1,1 meaning they have 0 points the other team has 1 point and it is their first server. now say they win that point then they switch sides and say 1,1,1  meaning they have one point the other team has 1 point and it is their first server. say they lose that point then they say 1,1,2 meaning they have 1 point the other team has 1 point and it is their second server. say they win another point they switch sides then they say 2,1,2 meaning they have 2 points the other team has 1 point and it is their second server. now say they lose a point so now it is the other teams serve so they say 1,2,1 meaning they have 1 point the other team has 2 points and it is their first server. this one’s on randomly until one team has 11 points.
