    Loretta Lynn the “queen of the country” sadly passed away. At the age of 90, Loretta Lynn passed away due to old age on October 4, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee. The death happened sometime in the night when Lynn was on her ranch in her bed. We will always remember Loretta for her songs that people could relate to.

    The star was born in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, into a family that had 8 siblings. Ever since she was small she had been singing. She used to sing her younger siblings to sleep. When she was young, at about the age of 15, she fell deeply in love with Oliver Lynn. About a month later they got married, had 4 kids, and moved to Custer, Washington.

Loretta became very well known for being a Coal miner’s daughter. “The Coal Miners Daughter” was a popular movie back in the 80s. This movie was based on Loretta and how she became a global sensation.

One fun fact about Loretta and her songs is that one of them was written on a fishing trip. Another fun fact is that she was named after Loretta Young.

    In 1960, Loretta released her very popular album “I’m a Honky Tonk Girl”. After that, she released many more albums and hit songs. Loretta will always be remembered for her incredible songwriting and singing.
