Monster on the Mountain

Is it real?
Monster+on+the+Mountain

People never went up too far in the mountains, because most that have, never come back.

“Come on Lily, let’s keep going, we’re almost to the top!” She said excitedly.

“I’m not so sure, I’ve heard some people don’t come back out,” Lily stuttered while starting to walk back down

“Wussy!” She screamed while running up the mountain.

As she kept going up and up, she realized that some of the trees were flat, and the rocks were all broken up, as if something was there before.

As she kept walking up, she walked by piles among piles of bones, but not seeing the immediate danger, she kept walking.

When she reached the top, she saw, beady eyes as big as her, staring up, menacingly, it’s jaw looked as if it could swallow her in one night, with its body being bigger than the bus she came on. Its tail was as if it was latched onto the mountain.

If she ran now, maybe she would get out and survive. She scrambled to grab her phone, take a picture, and see if this was real.

Everything started to go fuzzy, as she saw yellow spots and started losing her vision.

Suddenly, everything was black.

Moments later, or hours, or days later, she couldn’t tell either way, she regained consciousness, but she was still alive, maybe it was all a dream, maybe she was hallucinating, or maybe it was all real. But something didn’t feel right, the trees stood tall, unlike before, and boulders that weren’t there before were there, as if someone or something was trying to convince her she was crazy, but then she saw something, a mark from where the monster latched on. She wasn’t hallucinating, it was there.

She ran down, trying to find someone to show.

¨There is a monster up there! Don’t go back,¨ she yelled.

The woman rolled her eyes and kept hiking.

Waiting for the bus, she heard a high-pitched screech.

¨I told her.¨
