Youtube Shorts is Being Taken Over

Recently YouTube Shorts has been taken over by kids – and I don’t just mean that as a term. These are literal kids “green-screening” their faces on a video of someone else, with them reacting like dropping their mouths when something cool happens and pointing at the video.

@Pocketnaut thinks it’s so low effort and lame. In a video from November 29th, 2023, he says “Youtube Shorts is being infected by a digital plague,” referring to these #greenscreenkids. They’re not even using their own content so they’re stealing and recycling content.  The worst thing is that they steal from smaller creators. That’s bad because smaller creators are trying to create a following and these kids are stealing their creative content.

When you scroll through Youtube you can’t go through 25 shorts and not see a green screen kid. They make their video so small that when the video loops you notice that it’s a green screen and sometimes they pull tons of views. Many kids hide their faces in the corners and you can barely tell that they are there.

To be able to post you have to be over 13 years of age. These kids are around seven to ten. YouTube hasn’t done much to green-screen kids; they have taken only a few videos. But recently people have been seeing them less often but they are still pretty popular. But they are kinda being replaced by just people reposting videos instead of green-screening it.

Something we can do to fix this is report the videos so they will probably get taken down.

Yea, you know although they do green screening for views, adding nothing but their faces on a corner to hid or so. It still better than create a content by using religions for attention. I couldn’t handle this, this isn’t fair. They ruined youtube shorts by a green screen kid, that’s the problem man.
