Stanley Cups and Saftey

Stanley Cups and Saftey

The high-quality large Stanley cups that it seems everyone has contains lead. Recently multiple social media influencers have been testing their infamous Stanley cups with poor-quality lead test kits from Amazon. These kits have not been completely reliable but many of the tests have come back as positive.

Stanley has responded to these claims on their website by staging, by claiming that “At Stanley, one of the key features of our products is our vacuum insulation technology, which provides consumers with drinkware that keeps beverages at the ideal temperature. Our manufacturing process currently employs the use of an industry-standard pellet to seal the vacuum insulation at the base of our products; the sealing material includes some lead. Once sealed, this area is covered with a durable stainless steel layer, making it inaccessible to consumers. Rest assured that no lead is present on the surface of any Stanley product that comes into contact with the consumer or the contents of the product. In the rare occurrence, that the base cap of a product comes off due to ordinary use and exposes this seal, it is eligible for our Lifetime Warranty.”

No lead is on the surface of our beloved Stanley and is only accessible if damaged. The lead pallet at the bottom of the Stanley allegedly requires serious damage to break and for this to become a real issue as exposure is rare however Stanley has revealed that it isn’t that hard for the seal to break. Stanley is facing lawsuits due to this new information. The women who filed this case say they wouldn’t have bought the cup if they knew about these claims and how they could be easily exposed to the metals believing Stanley could have been honest to their consumers but chose not to. Stanley cups are very common in teens and a very popular cup at Mcaullife, are you safe from stanley cups?
