Snow on the field

Snow on the field

During the winter snow ends up on the field so staff members close it off. Some claim that it’s so people won’t get all muddy and slip but there are worse things than getting muddy on the black top.

For example most of the kids play on the field and now crowding people in one area can allow sicknesses to spread faster. Also when people are trying to play with a ball in that area it usually ends up hitting someone.

Another thing is that some people are worried about slipping on the wet grass, but there is also usually snow and ice also on the black top and it’s better to fall on wet grass than stone.

I interviewed some students on what they think about how the fields closed and they said that it was annoying, and that if it rains one day then you have to wait a few more days until it opens again.

In summary the school shouldn’t close down the field during recess, even if there is snow on it.
