An unnamed elderly woman from Atlanta in 2021 spilled coffee on her lap and is now being paid $3 million from Dunkin’ Donuts. She is being paid to settle the lawsuit involving hot coffee falling on her lap that she says caused severe burns and life-altering injuries. Claiming that the coffee gave her severe pain. Also causing her to re-learn walking.

The lady’s lawyer commented on the case, saying, “America may run on Dunkin, but our client had to re-learn how to walk due to the severity of her burns. Her burns were so severe that she spent weeks in the burn unit at Grady Health and has had to entirely alter the way she lives her life. Walking still causes her pain, she can’t go out in the sun, and she must apply creams and ointments to her burns several times a day.”

Golden LLC (The company that owns Dunkin’) agreed to pay 3 Million dollars to the woman. To compensate the woman for her injuries and negative impact on her life. Did Dunkin’ doughnuts spill the coffee on her on purpose? Or did she accidentally spill it and wants money? Doesn’t matter, her whole plan worked.
