Spore was a game released in 2008 and is about evolving a creature that can look as bad or as good as you like. This game allowed people to test creativity, like making real-life animals or monsters.

When making your creature there are two stages for creation. The first one is when you are a microscopic bug swimming around in the water and when you evolve onto land and grow legs. You can change your creature’s appearance when meeting a mate, and you lay an egg, but this can only happen in the first two stages. after that, you will enter the tribal stage, which lets you fight or make peace with other tribes, which you will continue to do, but you can evolve and get planes, cars, and Ships.

For the actual evolution, it will send you to a menu where you can pick between mouths, miscellaneous, feet, hands, legs, arms, and helpful items like wings. For your creature, you can make it more human-like or worm-like by changing its posture. 

If you make peace with other creatures they will help you fight or befriend other monsters but when you enter the tribal stage they will help protect your village but they turn into pets so they can’t follow you around.

The systems you can play it on are Nintendo Switch and laptop/PC and a version of the game on a Nintendo DS. The developer Maxis spent 7 years working on spore.
