“Home Alone” is so Funny it Makes Me Cough
This movie is classic, Iconic, and beloved by everyone, and in this article, we will discuss why. We could claim that if you have not watched it, you have not had a proper childhood. It has been considered a staple since 1990, being loved because of its exclusive humor and absurd scenarios. Home Alone is about a kid, about the age of nine, who has a large family who leaves him behind when they’re taking a vacation during Christmas. The kid, Kevin, tries to survive alone at home (hence the name) while his mom races to return home through Christmas traffic.
The movie takes place in 1990 and is based in a suburb of Chicago. The main character’s name is Kevin, played by Macaulay Culkin, while the two villains are played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. In the movie Macaulay Culkin does a great job, he is hilarious. One special element of his humor is his body language. His over-the-top movements make us all crack up. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern did a wonderful job being the stereotypical dumb villains, they were a great duo and added well to the movie’s plot.
We both agreed we did not dislike anything and in general, it was a terrible movie but that’s what makes it so good. Kevin was the best character due to his charming and witty nature and he overall made the movie what it is today. I think that the story’s moral for the parents is to make sure you don’t leave your kids home alone and for the rest of you, it’s not to rob people because those two robbers had it coming for them.
I would recommend this movie to kids, family, and anyone who could use a good laugh during the holiday season. This movie is bad in a hilarious way and overall we would rate this movie a ⅘.
