“Beetlejuice” Movie Review

Beetlejuice Movie Review

The movie “Beetlejuice” is PG-13. It is a fantasy horror comedy. This movie was released in 1988. It is about a couple who died and then a family moves into their house and they need help exterminating them.

In the movie “Beetlejuice” I liked the scene when Beetlejuice was tiny and he was just relaxing in the miniature town. I did not like it when Beetlejuice was about to marry Lydia Deetz. He is 600 years old and she is 16 years old. I loved the special effects in the movie. They were very good for the time when the movie was filmed.

I think that Winona Ryder did a good job playing Lydia Deetz; it sounded like she put a lot of effort into the role. I feel like Jeffrey Duncan Jones did not put that much effort into his role as Charles Deetz. He just seemed as if he did not want to be there. Geena Davis did a good playing as Barbra Maitland; she truly seemed like she loved Lydia Deetz as her own daughter. William Glenn Shadix played Otho very well. He always seemed like he was very devoted to this movie.

I loved watching this movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone 10+ since it is a little inappropriate, because they use mature language. My family loves this movie any time we watch it. This is definitely my favorite movie because of how creative it is and the comedy mixed with the horror factor.
