Hershey is over 100 years old and over that time they have made multiple different types of chocolate, but who was the maker of Hershey? And how did some chocolates gain their names?
The creator of Hershey’s name was Milton S. Hershey, he lived to be 88 years old, and at the age of 37 created Hershey’s company. At the age of 43 created the chocolate bar, since milk chocolate was new, and he wanted everyone to taste it.
For Hershey’s, there are two main chocolate types. There are the bars and Hershey’s kisses, but why are they called kisses? The reason they are called kisses is because when Milton was creating them, anything sugary or sweet that was bite-sized was called a kiss.
Milton’s first creation was a caramel company that he sold for a million dollars after calling caramel a “fad”. with the money that he had made from the sale to start up Hersheys!
