United States soccer star Christian Pulisic saved the United States from elimination on November 29, 2022.

The US desperately needed a win against Iran and they got it. Late in the first half of the game, Sergino Dest crossed the ball in front of the goal and Pulisic ran in and scored. In the process, Pulisic ran into the goalkeeper and got injured. At first, his teammates didn’t notice and began to celebrate around him but a few moments later Pulisic not getting up from the ground worry started to spark. After a small check-up medics helped him off the field. He later returned to the field to finish the first half but did not take the field after halftime. Later after the game we learned, he was taken to the hospital to get medical scans. Pulisic status is now day to day and the USMNT is hoping he will be fit to play in their next game against the Netherlands. The US has only scored 2 goals in their 2022 world cup debut the first assisted by Pulisic and the second scored by Pulisic. Pulisic is an important part of the united states front line and is also their go-to corner kicker.

The Iran goalkeeper Ali Beiranvand which he collided with was in his first game back from a concussion. In Iran’s first game against Wales only 12 minutes into the game he collided with Iran center back Majid Hosseini and was taken out with a bloody nose and later diagnosed with a concussion. Iran’s backup goalkeeper played for the rest of the game against wales and then Irans’ next game. With this scary collision Beiranvand, was not the one who came out injured this time.

So, we have our fingers crossed that Pulisic heals quickly and is able to play against the Netherlands.
