Kraft Getting Sued $5 Million for False Advertising

Ella Barnes, Author

A woman in Florida has recently sued Kraft for $5 million because their Velveeta mac and cheese takes longer to make than the packaging says. Amanda Ramirez filed the lawsuit because she claimed that the packaging is false advertising. The packaging says that it takes 3 ½ minutes to make the mac and cheese, but according to Ramirez it takes longer. You have to remove the lid, remove the cheese package, add water, and stir it. Ramirez also says that the company is profiting off of misleading and false advertising because when people see that it is ready in only 3 ½ minutes they will be willing to pay more for it. Kraft told CNN, “We are aware of this frivolous lawsuit and will strongly defend against the allegations in the complaint.”
