As winter falls into place, many people start looking for a place to go for winter break. The truth is that there are many places to go but here is a list of unique places to go for winter break to escape the cold.

O’ahu

If you are looking for a warm travel spot, O’ahu is the place to go. On average in the winter the temperature is in the high 70s. On North Shore, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing takes place from December 21, 2021, through January 21, 2022.

Galápagos Islands

At the Galapagos Islands, you have the chance to view wildlife, snorkel, and scuba dive. The temperature is usually in the mid-80s in the winter. I plan on visiting in December to see newly hatched giant tortoises and waved albatrosses before they fly off for the season and male marine iguanas displaying vivid colors to attract females for mating.

Hanoi

Hanoi’s average temperature in the daytime in the winter comfortably lies between the 60s and 70s. Visit in January or February to see the Tet Festival ( the Vietnamese Lunar New Year) or visit in February to watch the Perfume Pagoda Festival (a Buddhist pilgrimage that takes place every February).

Costa Rica

Costa Rica’s average temperature in December is in the 70s. The versatile weather means activities like hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and zip lining through the rainforest are all options for activities. However, you might choose to spend your time, make sure to leave some to enjoy the tiny country’s beaches.
