Julian Shapiro-Barnum, the host of a popular YouTube show, “Recess Therapy”, interviews children, and asks them interesting questions, in order to get a variety of strange answers. The show takes place in New York, and one day, Tariq, a seven-year-old boy was at a fair where “Recess Therapy” was filming. He went with his grandma and older sisters, during the summer to Smorgasburg, a festival with an exciting food theme.

It was an extremely hot day at the festival, so the crew of “Recess Therapy” decided to take it easy and just ask some simple questions. They wanted to find out the favorite things of the kids, which was something unusual but special for Tariq. When asked, he said, “For me, I really like corn”, calling it, “a big lump with knobs”. Tariq is definitely fond of corn, exclaiming, “I can’t imagine a more beautiful thing”.

After Shapiro-Barnum posted the video on social media platforms, it went viral. Now, an increasing amount of individuals have heard about the boy and how attached he is to buttered corn. After tons of views and likes, Michael Gregory, a seventy-seven-year-old actor decided to remix the interview and add little snippets of it to a joyful beat. Currently, the song has been turned into a vigorous Tik Tok trend, in which creators post pictures or videos of what they adore, and use the sound as background music.

The boy became well-known ever since the interview and has been invited to create a fast food ad with the restaurant Chipotle. In addition to that accomplishment, Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota, signed an official document to make Tariq the official “corn-bassador”. Adorable acts like these go to show that even small things can make a big difference.
