Top Gun: Maverick is the sequel to the original 1986 Top Gun movie. Set in real time, 35 years later, Cptn. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is living in the Mojave Desert testing out a plane that can go up to speeds of MACH 10 (7,000 MPH). After he gets in trouble, Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky sends him back to Top Gun, but this time as a teacher. He is instructed to teach pilots how to complete a near-impossible mission. Among the pilots he is training is Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, Goose’s son who resents him for a choice he made years ago.

Can Maverick pull off one more impossible mission? With the same (but updated) main theme and “Great Balls of Fire” still on the playlist, the Maverick soundtrack has songs on the Billboard Charts Hot 100! People’s favorite parts include the high-tension scenes or the battle scenes. Most people are liking it and 84% of viewers would recommend watching it. Miles Teller (Rooster) is talking to Tom Cruise about a sequel titled ‘Top Gun: Rooster’. Only time will tell.

Tom Cruise plays the main character; Maverick while Miles Teller plays Rooster. Jennifer Connelly plays Maverick’s girlfriend, Penny. John Hamm appears as Admiral Beau Simpson. Tom Cruise has been in movies such as “Mission: Impossible” and “The Outsiders.” Miles Teller has been in “Footloose” and the “Divergent” trilogy. Will “Top Gun: Rooster” appear in theaters? We will just have to wait and see.

I would highly recommend “Maverick” to people. Great family movie, if you can still find it in the theaters, the acoustics are insanely good. 9.5 out of 10.
