Zendaya is the youngest two-time Emmy award-winning actress. The 74th annual Emmy awards happened at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Zendaya made history Monday, September 12, 2022. She won her award for best actress in a drama series for her portrayal of Rue in “Euphoria”.

Zendaya is also the first black woman to win two Emmys in this category, as well as the youngest person to win two Emmys for acting. Zendaya gave a wonderful speech showing love for her loved ones and for the cast and crew of Euphoria “for making such a safe place for such a difficult show.” There were also some happy tears shared from such a heartfelt speech.

While Zendaya is the youngest person to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series two times over, she is actually not the youngest person to have won multiple performing Emmys. That honor goes to Kristy McNichol, who won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work on “Family.”
