On May 2nd, Grammy-winning singer, Billie Eilish posted revealing photos from a British Vogue photoshoot. This was just after she had come out with a new hairstyle completely different from her iconic neon green hair. This is all in spite of her new album that has one song released so far. It’s hard not to know Billie Eilish with such an eye-catching character. Known for her unique songs such as “Bad Guy” and “Therefore I am,” Eilish has become a huge figure in the music industry at only 19 years old.

Recently, her new song “Power” has brought up some speculation regarding her ex-boyfriend Q that she broke up with in 2019. Apparently the couple had a somewhat toxic relationship that involved Q sexually assaulting her. In her apple TV documentary, Eilish stated that “’I just wasn’t happy. I didn’t want the same things he wanted and I don’t think that’s fair for him. I don’t think you should be in a relationship super excited about things that the other person couldn’t care less about.’”

The song “Power” is thought to be about her ex Q because of her lyrics such as “I know we didn’t choose to change you might not wanna lose your power” “No wonder why you didn’t ask” “Like it was my fault you were the devil.” Despite the dark lyrics, this song’s video contributes to Eilish’s new album theme which presents itself as much calmer and feminine.

With a new album coming out and new hair, Eilish has broken Instagram records from her British Vogue posts getting a million likes quicker than any other post so far. Her new hair reveal post has also become the most liked post on Instagram. Instagram aside, Billie Eilish’s new trope has sparked a lot of attention. This is because Eilish is known for not revealing lots of her body on the internet in spite of avoiding body-shaming. We don’t know exactly why she has chosen to change this about herself but we can only hope its because of grown confidence.
