The 2021 NFL draft is an event that happens every year, where NFL teams can pick new players, recently out of college to join their team. The Draft will take place on April 29th-May 1st, starting at 6 pm in Clevland, Ohio. This year’s draft will be the 86th annual draft. The draft will be broadcasted on ESPN, ABC, and NFL network.


  After the 2020 draft was forced to be done virtually for the first time due to Covid-19, this years draft will be a public event According to NBC sports, “Zooms and virtual celebrations will be replaced by a select number of players being invited on stage to hear their names called as they begin the next chapter of their career. There will also be an “inner circle” of fans in attendance, all of whom will have been vaccinated.” All fans attending this event will have already been fully vaccinated. 


 The Jacksonville Jaguars will have the first overall pick after they ended the 2020 season with a 1-15 record.  There are also some players that are highly guaranteed to find their future team in the first round including Clemson Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Ohio State Quarterback Justin Fields, Florida TE Kyle Pitts, and 2020 Heisman Trophy winner Devonte Smith.


The Denver Broncos have just traded a Sixth-round (no.191) pick in order to get QB Teddy Bridgewater. According to NFL, “Carolina is paying $7 million of Bridgewater’s $10 million in guaranteed money for 2021” Bridgewater is headed to the Broncos to most likely compete for the starting job with Broncos Quarterback Drew Lock.
