Is Netflix Cancelled

This Month April, 2021 Netflix shocked the internet when they announced the Hype House would have their own show on the streaming on the app according to Insiders. The show includes members such as Nikita Dragun, Petrou, Larri Merritt, Alex Warren, Hudson, Kouvr Annon, Sienna Mae Gomez, and Jack Wright.

The Hype House is a collective of teens’ Tik Tok personalities based in Los Angeles, California. At first, when they started in December, 2019 everything was very fun and Tik Tok was a place to share cool dance moves, but later on in 2020 Tik Tok went downhill with many scandals, and it took the Hype House down with them.

Going into the first scandal we are going to be looking at Thomas Petrou and Daisy Keech. In a 22 minute video she explained how she left the Hype House because she felt “disrespected.” In his response video, Thomas denied Daisy’s claims and called it a “slap in the face” when she stopped promoting the Hype House on her personal social media pages. That was just the beginning and that was definitely not the worst of the drama. They also had drama with other Tik Tok houses such as the Sway house, Merch Drama, Cheating Scandals, and much more. Many people were angry over the fact that Netflix would give “racist Ticktockers” their own show, with even the Hype House trending on Twitter. Overall people are not happy with Netflix showcasing problematic people who offended many people of different races, religions, sexualities, and genders.
