It is being discussed that Renée Elise Goldsberry will take part in the recently announced Marvel series, being released on Disney+, “She-Hulk.”

The “She-Hulk”series is led by Tatiana Maslany, and Ginger Gonzaga. The series centers the character of Jennifer Walters (Maslany), Bruce Banner’s cousin. Jennifer Walters receives her cousin’s Hulk powers through a blood transfusion she gets from Bruce Banner. Unlike Banner’s powers, however, Jennifer Walters is able to keep control over most of her intelligence, emotions, and personality. Details on who Goldsberry will perceive is still being determined.

Goldsberry won a Tony Award for her interpretation of Angelica Schuyler in the renowned Broadway play “Hamilton,” and her other notable Broadway plays include “The Color Purple,” “The Lion King,” and “Dreamgirls.” Onscreen she was in the series “Altered Carbon” on Netflix, “The Goodwife” on CBS, and “One Life to Live” on ABC. On film Goldsberry was in Disney+’s  recording of “Hamilton,” that was released last year, and was also in the movies “Waves,” and “House With a Clock in the Walls.”

Kat Corio will be the director, and executive producer on “She-Hulk.” Jessica Gao is writing the series, and is also an executive producer.

“She-Hulk” will be another addition to the list of Disney+ Original  Marvel series, that now consists of “WandaVision,” “Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” and “Loki,” which is set to debut on June 11th.

The exact release date is still unknown, but we do know that it is coming out in the year of 2022.
