Baylor Bears Upset the Zags 86-70

On Monday, April 5th the NCAA men’s championship game was played and the two teams playing were the Baylor Bears and Gonzaga Bulldogs. The Bulldogs were favored going into the game even though both teams were 1 seed but the Bulldogs were undefeated until Monday, April 5th. The Baylor Bears starting 5 consists of Jared Butler, Davion Mitchell, MaCio Teague, Flo Thamba, and Mark Vital. The Gonzaga Bulldogs starting 5 consists of Martynas Arlauskas, Corey Kispert, Andrew Nembhard, Jalen Suggs, and Drew Timme.


In the first half, the Baylor Bears were dominating and outscored them by 10 points going into the half at 47-37 Bears. Then in the second half, they outscored them by 6 points but still won the game by 16 points against the undefeated Bulldogs. The top scorer on the Bears was Jared Butler with 22 points, 7 assists, and 3 rebounds. The top scorer on the Bulldogs was Jalen Suggs with 22 points, 3 assists, and 1 rebound. Even though the Bulldogs got beat they still had an amazing season and should keep their hopes high for next season.
