Tide Pool Creatures

Tide Pool Creatures

Fiona Perry, Writer

Lapping cyan waves,

Sun shining,

Creatures diving,

Colors vibrant,

Peace and quiet.

The ocean is great,

With its coral reef just off the shore,

But that is not a sight the tide pool creatures see anymore.

People running,

In the coves of the dark black rock.

Hitting the poor tide creatures with a shock.

Pulled off their resting place,

Thrown aside to go to waste,

Salty sand in their emotionless face.

Tidepool creatures do not care.

Tidepool creatures could live anywhere.

With hard shells that can’t be cracked,

They stay stuck,

Indifferent to attack.
