March Madness Begins, Top Games to Watch

Mac Shaw, Writer

March Madness is set to begin on March 17, 2021, and there are many top NBA prospects competing in the tournament, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is still much uncertainty on when the games will be played. Even with this uncertainty, there are still many interesting games within the tournament, and these are the top prospects to watch within them.

  1. Arkansas vs. Colgate, March 19

Now even though Arkansas is expected to beat Colgate, Arkansas has Moses Moody, a guard with a high shooting percentage and lots of potential for teams to adjust onto their team. He is projected to go in the lottery and will be a nice pickup for whatever team manages to pick him up. Expect a good game from him against Colgate.

  1. UCLA vs. Michigan State, March 18

This game has many interesting players and storyline to keep an eye on. One of these characters is Aaron Henry, who has really picked up his play in these last few weeks, and is one of the key reasons that Michigan State is in the position they are. The Spartans have other future prospects, but Henry is the key one to keep an eye on this game. UCLA doesn’t have very much star level talent, but are very well rounded, and might be able to keep up with the Spartans.

  1. Oklahoma State vs. Liberty, March 19

Oklahoma State has a star player Cade Cunningham, who is making his first debut to March Madness. With a shot percentage of 41%, he is expected to do big things and help take his team as far as he can. Now Liberty has some very good shooters as well, so this game should be very competitive, and come down to the wire. Mac

Now even though these are some of the top games to watch, there are still plenty of other interesting games with star players waiting to happen. Now there might be many more competitive games as the tournament continues on, as upsets and the unpredictability of the tournament comes into play. This year’s March Madness should be very interesting.
