Millie Bobby Brown almost quit acting after being rejected for a role in ‘Game of Thrones on March 1st, 2021. Millie Bobby Brown started her acting career at just 12 years old, after landing the lead role in a hit show “Stranger Things.” She gained notability for her role as Eleven in the first season, which has been renewed for four seasons. She has become a multi-hyphenate actress, producer, and beauty mogul at just 17 years old. She has set such a huge and successful career for herself already, and only hopes for a bright future in the acting industry, but even with all of this fame and success, you never know what the future does hold for you.

With all this success at such a young age, it can be hard to believe that Millie has faced her fair share of rejections. Rejection is a common experience for any actor, and surprisingly she is not new to this feeling of rejection. In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, she discussed her recent adventures in Hollywood, telling the public about her audition for the role of Lyanna Mormont in the series Game Of Thrones. She briefly, with Fallon, talked about how the rumors were true and how she was considering “taking a break” from acting, she stated, “I think I was just very disheartened by the rejection, which is something that I tell everyone — this industry is just full of rejection 24/7,” she said honestly. “You receive a lot of ‘no’s before you get a ‘yes. I then auditioned for Game of Thrones and I got a ‘no’ for that, and then that’s when I was like ‘Oh, this is really difficult,’” she admitted. “I guess I really wanted that role.” Fans were heartbroken by this statement truly because Millie has made an impact on all of the shows and movies she has starred in.

She was on the verge of giving up acting altogether in the past as well and decided her next audition would be her last try at breaking into the acting industry. She auditioned for a Netflix show called Montauk and didn’t hear anything for a while. After two months, Netflix executives got back to Brown and told her they’d love to bring her on. She claimed that “The rest is up to them, truly I am so excited to play this part though” She even, in the past, got another part in a show called, Enola Holmes, in which she plays the lead antagonist, Enola Homes with other smaller actors like Louis Partridge and Timothee Chalamet. Brown also had a few walk-on roles on shows including NCIS, Modern Family, and Grey’s Anatomy. Many people when Millie said she was possibly going to take a break, were shocked, she has created such a big life ahead of her at such a young age, not even a legal adult yet, and why would you ever want to give that up.

Thankfully, Millie hasn’t given up quite yet, and hopefully, she isn’t planning to. She has already created such a big empire for herself with so much to give in her Hollywood life. She has brought so much to the roles she’s played and fans are just hoping she continues on that legacy, so many fans are excited to see her in the upcoming seasons of stranger things and Enola Holmes. Hopefully, this rejection isn’t a door closing, but a new one opening.
