Doctor Fired For Giving Out Covid Vaccine

Doctor Hansan Gokal gave away 10 shots of the covid vaccine and got fired for it, on February 10, 2021, in Houston Texas.

Doctor Hanson Gokal, migrated from Pakistan, as a boy. He then went to school and earned a medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. After working in hospitals in New York, he then moved to Houston Texas. He then continued his work as a doctor at the hospital, specifically in the ER department. He also did lots of volunteer work by helping to rebuild homes and provide medical care after hurricanes.

He started getting better and better at his health work, becoming one of the highest and best doctors known. He finally got approved and licensed to be able to do shots and vaccines. Soon after, his hospital got access to the Covid vaccine and were able to give them to their patients and health care workers who worked on the front line. He started to be able to be one of those people that hand out the covid vaccines.

Then one night he was asked to work a night shift. He had been giving out covid vaccines all day, but still had 10 shots left that were going to expire in 6 hours. He called the people that had canceled their appointments to see if there was any chance that they could come and get them at that time. All of them weren’t able to, but he refused to just throw away the perfectly good shots. So, he decided to call his loved ones that had medical conditions and asked if they wanted one.

All of them came down to the hospital about 2 hours later and got ready to get their first vaccine. He gave all of them their shots, including his wife, and then headed home for what he thought was going to be a normal night. At 2:30 in the morning, the next day, he got a call from his boss saying he was fired.

He could not believe what was happening and did not know why he was getting fired or what for. His boss continuously explained that technically what he did was considered stealing. His boss said that because he never got permission to take them and give them out, he stole them from the hospital. He then was told to come the next day and pack up his things from work and leave.

Gokal is currently still looking for his next job and what life path he wants to go down next.
