The Parent Trap Movie Review

The Parent Trap is a 1998 family comedy film. It is an amazing movie and I think everybody should watch it!

The movie starts with Elizabeth James and  Nicholas “Nick” Parker getting married on a cruise ship. They have identical twin daughters, Hallie and Annie. Yet soon the couple divorces, and Elizabeth takes Annie with her to London, and Nick moves to California with Hallie. The twins don’t know of each other’s existence, and both think they’re only children. Almost twelve years later, Hallie and Annie go to the same summer camp, where they meet and dislike each other. After a lot of pranks, Hallie takes one way too far, resulting in the camp’s head getting covered in chocolate, and Annie and Hallie are sent to the Isolation Cabin for the rest of the session. There, they figure out they’re twins and come up with a plan to get their parents together: Annie will go to California, while Hallie will go to London. When arriving in California, Annie finds a nasty surprise: Her dad is hooked onto Meredith Blake, a famous publicist who wants to marry Nick for his money rather than love.

Lindsay Lohan plays both Annie and Hallie, Natasha Richardson plays Elizabeth, Dennis Quaid plays Nick, and Elaine Hendrix plays Meredith.

I would give this movie 5 out of 5 stars.
