Best Super Bowl Ads

Phil Mess, Writer

You’d think that Super Bowl advertisers would want to come up with something funny and creative for an ad, and most do, but not all. I’d wanna make a funny and creative ad for the 100 plus million people watching their ads or the millions of dollars they pay just for an ad. Here is what I think are the best/funniest Super Bowl commercials of this year.

  1. General Motors “No Way Norway” with Will Farrell was pretty funny, with their response to Norway having the highest electric cars sold per ca-pita. This was definitely better than Audi or Ford. I give this one a 9.5/10
  2. Twas the Night Before the Super Bowl” This one is super creative, with Marshawn Lynch dropping down rhymes and other NFL legends messing around. The skit with the Manning’s was probably the second best part behind Marshawn’s bars. I give this a 9.25/10
  3. Certain is Better” this one is funny while still having some branding behind it. I give this an 8.75/10
  4. One More Year” This one is funny, creative, and a balance between funny and branding. It is probably one of the most creative commercials. I give it an 8.74/10

  1. Alexa’s body” this one was pretty funny and creative and overall pretty balanced. I give this one an 8.5/10
  2. Brad Garrett Meet the King” This one is good, The skits are pretty funny and creative. I give this one an 8/10
  3. All-star Cast” this one is good, but it’s not funny; it has a lot more branding than creativity. I give it a 7/10
  4.  “Flavor Stacking Space” this one is good, but they have too many ads like this, with the Pringle stacking. So I give it a 6.9/10

Overall the good commercials were good and funny, but the bad ones dragged the good ones down a lot. Like seriously, there were some TERRIBLE ads this year. This year was definitely average and probably about a 5.5/10.
