My Famous Banana Bread

Everyone loves banana bread, the fairly sweet twist onto your average bread. Lately, I’ve been perfected the best recipe, complete with a crumble on top. My dad even said it was better than mom’s. When something is better than mom’s, you know it must be good. Here’s the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Beat together one cup white sugar and one stick of butter
  3. Beat in 2 eggs
  4. In a separate bowl, crush up 3-4 bananas until no longer lumpy
  5. Beat bananas into the mixture
  6. Add in 1 1/2 cups of flour
  7. One tsp baking soda
  8. 1/2 tsp salt
  9. 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  10. 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  11. Beat until just combined
  12. (Optional) Fold in chocolate chips
  13. Spray two loaf pans with nonstick cooking spray
  14. Pour batter evenly between pans
  15. DO NOT PUT INTO OVEN YET

The Crumble

  1. 1/2 cup flour
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. 4 tbs softened butter
  4. 1 tsp cinnamon
  5. Mash together then sprinkle on top of the batter until all crumble is gone
  6. Now put both loaf pans in the oven and let cook for 60 mins
