The Farmer’s Market Goes Into the Iconic Market in Larimer Square

Rachel Schutt, Writer

As you might have heard the old iconic The Market bakery and coffee shop has gone out of business on Larimer Street in Denver, Colorado. It has been replaced by a couple of little local shops and now it could be better than ever! These are local food and beverage shops inside of The Farmer’s Market. Among the new vendors are Little Owl Coffee, Farm to Truck, Rebel Bread, Hinman’s Bakery, YaYe Organic’s, and LaLa’s Bakery.

At Little Owl Coffee you will find coffee, tea, and other drinks that will keep you running all day. Next up is Farm to Truck which is a food truck parked outside the building and they are serving up fresh breakfast sandwiches, burgers, and other awesome food. There is also the great Rebal Bread that is making up artisan bread with lots of different flavors and new inventive combinations. You will find sweet and savory hand pies right out of the oven at Hinman’s Bakery stand. Recently all the rage has been about organic and plant-based foods. At YaYe Organic’s, they have lots of healthy foods that will make you feel good and happy. Lastly you will find baked goods like the spring fling cake and other homemade recipes from 3 former workers of the old Market at LaLa’s bakery.

At The Farmer’s Market they have many Covid-19 procedures in place to keep everyone safe. For example, you must wear a mask inside, socially distant, use hand sanitizer, and they have installed plexiglass barriers between you and the workers. They also have outdoor seating options like picnic tables for just your family. Next time you are in downtown Denver looking for somewhere to have breakfast, lunch or dinner you should check out The Farmer’s market in Larimer Square!
