Jamie Foxx’s Sister Dies at 36

Jamie Foxx’s sister Deondra Dixxon died at 36 on Oct, 19, 2020. According to New York Daily News no cause of death was given. James’s sister had down syndrome.

Dixxon was the daughter of Foxx’s mother Louise Annette and stepfather  George Dixon.“My heart is shattered into a million pieces,” Foxx wrote on Instagram, confirming the news. “My beautiful loving sister Deondra has transitioned… I say transitioned because she will always be alive.” Foxx spoke about how his sister loved to dance and always stole the show. She even danced in her brother’s music video and on stage at the Grammys. “I want to be a professional dancer,” wrote Dixon. “My brother gave me the opportunity to do some special things. I danced ‘Blame It’ in his video. I’ve danced on stage at some of his concerts around the country. And you know what? I danced at the Grammys! “She was also an ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome foundation. DeOndra even participated in the Special Olympics as a child, competed for more than nine years, winning medals in shot put, athletics, bowling, and soccer. She moved to California to be with her brother and family.

Many celebrities showed lots of support such as Chris Brown, Viola Davis, Eva Longara, and many more. Many laugh as they remember she would call Chris Brown her boyfriend. According to reports, Chris first shared news of Dixon’s death over the weekend on social media but deleted the post. Dixon said she was “glad to have a big brother she can count on” and loved him “every day.”
