As it becomes colder in the Rocky Mountains, and the snow starts to fall ski resorts prepare for opening weekend. As resorts prepare for covid skiing we can already see how much different this year is going to be compared to the other years. 

Popular resorts-like Beaver Creek, Keystone, Vail, Breckinridge, and others are putting rules in places like reservations and temperature checks for those who wish to ski. Most resorts are requiring masks on chair lifts and in the villages. 

As the average ski community starts to prepare for ski and ride seasons the general community is starting to make their schedule fit to the covid season people are beginning to buy new gear and active their Strava and Epic Mix apps. 

The Opening days for the Resorts Vail, Keystone, and Breckenridge, and more Are, Nov. 6, 2020, to April 4, 2021, for Keystone. Nov. 13, 2020, to May 31, 2021, for Breckenridge. And Vail Nov 20, 2020, to April 11, 2021. Crested Butte is Open from Nov 25, 2020, to April 4, 2021. Last but not least Beaver Creek is opening from Nov. 25, 2020, to April 4, 2021.

Resorts are being encouraged to promote online sales of the lift tickets rather than the purchase of in-person at a window or a lift. Mask will be encouraged and in some places required. Lifts are almost always with your own party and 50% capacity than usual. Social distancing will be put in place ensuring a 6-foot distance between parties. Ski school classes are limited to 10 people and children 11 years of age or older are required to wear a mask. Restrooms and locker rooms will be encouraged to maintain at half capacity allowing for social distancing. Shop and rentals will be requiring masks and reservations as limited interactions during the fitting process to keep safe. Restaurant and dining facilities have removed outdoor capacity limits although must remain 6-feet of social distancing. Extreme weather and emergencies.
