Banana Bread

This is a recipe that after lots of searching for the right one I found the perfect one that is healthier but still, it’s banana bread so it is not super healthy. Now for the recipe. This is a recipe that makes two loaves of banana bread so if you only want one loaf then you should split it in half.

  1. 1 cup of butter/shortening
  2. 2 cups of white sugar
  3. 2 large eggs
  4. 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  5. 6 very ripe bananas, mashed
  6. 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  7. ½ a teaspoon of salt
  8. 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  9. 1 cup of semi-sweet milk chocolate chips

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease two 9×5 inch loaf pans.

Step 2

In a large bowl, cream together the shortening/butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition. Stir in the mayonnaise and bananas. Stir together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Blend flour mixture into the banana mixture, stir just enough to evenly combine. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Step 3

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean, about 50 to 75 minutes. Cool loaf in the pan for 20 minutes before removing to a rack to cool completely.

My sister Peyton Rated this banana bread with five stars it is very most instead of just a dry piece of bread. I personally also give it five stars because it is banana bread and that can not be bad. I do recommend trying it when it is warm because the edge is crunchy and more flavorful than after it has fully cooled and sat for a few days. Try this recipe and judge for yourself the flavor and moisture of this delicious remedy.
