How to Make Halloween Brownie Cupcakes

Rachel Schutt, Writer

This is a recipe and directions for how to make easy Halloween brownie cupcakes. I have made these at least 5 times and I think they are delicious, and I think you will too. Keep in mind that this is very rich in chocolate so you might want to use mini cupcake wrappers and a mini cupcake tin if you have one. This recipe will make about 12 normal size cupcakes.

Ingredients for Cupcakes:

1 box of brownie mix

¼ of a cup of all-purpose flour

¼ of a cup of water

¼ of a cup of vegetable oil

1 egg

You will also need:

One medium to a large bowl (to make the batter in)

Whisk (to combine the ingredients for the batter)

Spoon (to get the batter into the cupcake wrappers)

Cupcake Wrappers

Ingredients for Pumpkins on Top:

One container of white frosting (you can buy this or make it yourself)

Orange food coloring or yellow and red (for the pumpkins)

Orange sprinkles (for the pumpkins)

Green food coloring or blue and yellow (for the stem of the pumpkins)

Piping bag and tip

So now that you have all of your ingredients you will start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees. Then put your brownie mix, water, vegetable oil, flour, and egg in your large bowl. Whisk until there are no lumps left. Then, spoon your batter into the cupcake wrappers and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. The center should still be fudgy but cooked. Once they are finished take them out of the oven and let them cool in order to decorate them easier.

Now, after your brownies have COMPLETELY cooled, take them out of the pan that you cooked them in. Put your orange frosting inside a piping bag and put the piping tip on. You will frost the whole top of the cupcake in orange and add orange sprinkles all over it. Lastly, you can pipe a green stem on. You have completed making your Halloween brownie cupcakes!
