Muhammad Ali born on January 17, 1942 is arguably the best boxer of all time although some people think Mike Tyson is. Ali was born in Louisville, Kentucky to his dad Cassius Marcellus Clay Sr. and his mom Odessa Grady Clay. His real name is Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. although in 1964 when he was 22 he changed his name to Muhammad Ali. When Ali was 12 he got his bike stolen and he told the police officer that he wanted to beat up the thief the officer then said “Well, you better learn how to fight before you start challenging people,” Martin the officer also trained young boxers so Martin helped Ali learn how to fight. Ali’s boxing record was 56 wins, 37 of which were knockouts and he only recorded 5 losses. On June 3rd, 2016 when he was 74 years old he died of Parkinson’s disease and Spinal Stenosis in a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Parkinson’s disease is a brain disorder and Spinal Stenosis is when your spine narrows down.
