Murder On The Orient Express (2017 version) Movie Review

Roni Khaustova, Writer

The 2017 version of the movie “Murder On The Orient Express” is a murder mystery, taking location on a train, where all the passengers are suspects. It is rated PG-13, but it is really a great movie and you should totally consider watching it! It is based on a novel by Agatha Christie, which is also very good. The main character is Hercule Poirot, a famous detective is heading to London on the luxury Orient Express, then a man named  Edward Ratchett asks Poirot to be his bodyguard for the upcoming three days on the train because Ratchett had received threatening letters. Poirot says no when Ratchett confesses to him that he is a con artist. That night, Poirot hears noises from Ratchet’s compartment, and sees someone in a red kimono running down the hallway. The next morning, Poirot finds out that the train had been stuck in an avalanche that had happened that night. Poirot’s friend Bouc, director of the Orient Express tells him that Ratchett had been found dead and asks him to solve the mystery.

The movie is full of twists, as we find out the murderer’s motive to kill Ratchett. I couldn’t figure out who had done the crime until the very end of the movie. This movie is really good, and if you like mysteries and action, you should totally watch it!
