Carole Baskin was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” in week 3 season 27 at the set of “Dancing with the Stars” because judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Anne Heche and her partner instead of Baskin and her partner, Pasha Pashkov. It was Disney night and she had decided to do a Lion King Theme dancing to Samba’s “Circle of Life.”

“I love you both, because you’ve all kept it in the press,” was her message to the haters and fans. “With all the horrible things that have been said and all the wonderful things that have been said, people are talking about big cats and why they don’t belong in cages,” she added, “and nothing could make me happier than that.”

Dancing with the Stars(DWTS) has brought attention to Big Cat Rescue which is a Non-profit organization that saves cats from captivity run and founded by Carole. She was in the documentary Tiger King which displays  an exploration of big cat breeding and its bizarre underworld, populated by unusual characters. It shows her feud with Joe Exotic another cat breeder who was  jailed for the attempted murder of Baskin. Joe claimed that Carole killed her ex-husband and fed him to her cats and this is being investigated. This helped her land a role on the TV show and because of this documentaries and even Tik Tok songs were made about her.

“I don’t feel shocked at all,” Baskin told ET’s Lauren Zima via video chat after Monday’s episode. “The people who stayed on the show can really, really dance, and that’s what the show is all about.”

Baskin made the theme of her dancing predominantly about cats to get her message across about them. For this performance her and her partner danced to the Lion King’s head to toe in lion costumes.

Baskins said, “I think this has been an amazing opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and get my message out there.”
