 Death Note Review (Anime Version)

Death Note is an anime that was made of the manga Death Note. It is based on the main character named Light Yagami who lives in Japan and receives a notebook called the Death Note. The Death Note has the power to kill someone if you write their name in it while imagining their face. You can also write down the way they will die. If you don’t, they will simply die from a heart attack. Where did the notebook come from you may be wondering? It’s a world that has “shinigamis” and they look kind of like monsters. There are two main shinigamis named Ryuk and Rem that you see a lot throughout all of the episodes. As Light has the power to kill, he decides to kill criminals. The world’s top best investigator named L investigates trying to find who people call the person (Light) behind the killings “Kira” (killer in English, Kira in Japanese!). Light has to continue to keep this a secret that he is killing criminals to make the world a better place. Light also has a God Complex (a medical/mental issue) that makes him seem kind of crazy in some scenes. Death Note has 37 episodes and only one season! I promise It will get you addicted. Now don’t get me wrong, the first 4, maybe 5 episodes are pretty boring but it gets so good! It is a bit darker for something to watch. If you don’t like watching people getting killed, then I would not suggest Death Note! Death Note has a rotten tomato score of 0 according to Rotten Tomatoes (a website). Many people like it but some say it is darker because of the killing in it. For age rating I would say 10-12+. Also the soundtrack/background music is AMAZING!!! I would rate Death Note a 10000/10!!! I love it so much, it’s my favorite anime ever! I HIGHLY suggest it!!!
