Delicious Seasonal Pumpkin Bread
October 8, 2020
This is a recipe that I love baking in the fall and this is a delicious pumpkin bread recipe. This pumpkin bread has the perfect amount of spice and pumpkin so that there is not too much of either. Caution! This recipe makes 3 loaves. From the memories I have of making this I remember adding some butter when serving. This recipe takes around 30 min to prep. This is also something you can make when wanting a seasonal dessert or side to dinner. It serves 6-8 people. It is super moist and lightweight and can last a good amount of time if it is stored in the fridge or freezer.
Here is the recipe:
3 ⅓ cups sifted flour
3 cups of sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
1 cup of vegetable oil
4 eggs
⅔ cup of water
2 cups canned pumpkin
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Stir dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Tip! When a recipe says ‘sifted flour’ sift the flour first then measure, but when says ‘flour sifted’ measure flour then sift. With a spoon make a hole in the center of the dry ingredients. Add all remaining ingredients into the hole. Mix until smooth. Grease and flour 3 bread pans. Evenly pour batter into the pans. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10-15 min. Remove from pans and cool on the rack. Enjoy! You may chill or freeze loaves until they are ready to serve.
Here are some fun facts about pumpkins!

You may serve with butter or plain.
