Hamilton Review

Hamilton Review

Perrin Swientisky, Writer

Many people that have seen Hamilton have loved it. Now, I never would have seen the movie if my friends didn’t force me to. I am very glad they did. I didn’t want to watch it because I thought it would be horrible. Some people don’t like musicals because they play music non-stop. That was one of the reasons I did not want to watch Hamilton. I actually like what they did that in the movie. The music might get in your head after watching it more than once. I got “The Schuyler Sisters” song stuck in my head. Since I haven’t watched it more than once I don’t have any other songs stuck in my head. I won’t spoil anything for those who haven’t yet seen Hamilton, but King George is very funny. It does have very few bad words. I barely even noticed it though.

It is very historical and will teach you things about history. Hamilton is a great movie and I recommend those to watch it over the age of 9. I would rate it 4 out of 5 because it doesn’t explain who some of the people are in the beginning, but if you watch it more than once then you will understand it more. Just to let you know some of the characters are Angelica who is the oldest of the Schuyler Sisters. There is Peggy who is the youngest of the Schuyler Sisters and the middle child is Eliza. Alexander Hamilton is the main character. Eliza’s last name is Hamilton (their married). Thomas Jefferson is the one who wears the purple coat, and Phillip Hamilton is Hamilton’s son.
