There are 122 students that are using on-campus spaces to isolated in the hotel for 10 days for testing positive for COVID – 19 at the University of Colorado Boulder.  Two students have been quarantined after officials have detected a high level of COVID 19 in the wastewater. The letter also warns students not to go home during quarantine or stay elsewhere. They were told that they would likely stay in quarantine for a period of time.

There have been 304 positive COVID 19 cases at the university since the class began in August. Following a spike of 21 reported student cases on September the 18th. The university says that there were three confirmed cases on Wednesday, September 23. There are 39 active COVID-19 outbreaks associated with schools in colorado and 1,503 cases of the virus at the University of Colorado Boulder. Earlier this summer a surge of Covid-19 cases was reported due to parties in the Hill neighborhood. According to CU’s dashboard, 2,100 residents have tested positive since COVID- 19 was detected in March. CU’s fall plan involves “flexible academic instruction” that includes a combination of remote and in-person learning.
