The 2022- 2023 season for skiing is stopped early, but why is that? I like to ski and this season stopped early and a week later it snowed 10 inches. 17 ski resorts out of 20 have closed for the season, and the three others are scheduled to close in the next week or two. The only three still open are A-Basin, Winter Park, and Breckenridge. Breck is the only open mountain owned by Epic, and the other two are owned by Icon.

Tourists and locals always give high ratings to all of the mountains. A-Basin is smaller and more intermediate stuff, but that does not mean you can’t do it. Winter Park is hard but is more beginner than A-Basin. Breck also has a lot of hard runs and beginners can still have fun. Breck has 187 trials, which is one of the bigger resorts in Colorado. A-Basin has 145 trails, which is impressive because of its size. A-Basin started on one mountain but now has two peaks, and Winter Park has 167.

All in all, it’s not great to have 17 resorts closed early because I know that sometimes here you can be skiing in A-Basin even up to late June.
