Why Cats are Good Pets

Why Cats are Good Pets

Most times, cats have a bad rep, and many people think that cats are mean when compared to other pets, but that’s not the truth. Cats are actually nice and loving pets when given the right amount of time to warm up to you.

Cats tend to be easier pets because even if you live in a big house or small apartment, it’s easy to care for them. They can provide all the fun a larger animal like a dog could bring, but with less maintenance. For example, unlike dogs, cats don’t need to go on walks and don’t require any training. While most times most pets need to be potty trained, most cats naturally know to use a litter box.

If you’re someone who’s not home often or doesn’t have much free time, a cat could be good since cats are actually pretty simple. They don’t take up too much space and they don’t need your constant attention. Most cats also don’t need that many toys so it is easy to save your money there. They are very independent animals, so they’re good at entertaining themselves and being ready to play whenever you are. It’s a well-known fact that cats are good at getting rid of rodents. If you have a cat, it’s sure that most pests will stay away. This is an obvious bonus because if you’re like me, and you hate rats, a cat will make sure that they stay away.

Overall these are just some of the reasons why I think that cats are good pets. I don’t mean to put down any other pets, but I also think that the slander cats get is inaccurately placed on them. While there are certain downfalls to cats, keep in mind that every pet has certain things you won’t like about them.
